Can I be real for a moment? 👀Trying to master every design tool will keep you stuck.
It’s no secret that you want to be perceived as a design authority by your potential and current clients. I promise you can achieve that, you just don’t need to follow the ‘norm’ to do so.
It is a common misconception that using ‘Adobe’ or certain ‘high end’ tools guarantees a designer knows what they are doing, but this is not true. Tools can be useful, but they can also distract from real knowledge. In your field, you can be an expert by using any tool, so long as you can do the job with it.
A great way to position yourself as an ‘expert’ is to start creating your own workflow and design process. People pay for your abilities, not your tools.
It’s how my community has grown from struggling to feel confident in their work to showing up authentically and carving out their own path.
Is this something you’ve been stuck with in the past? I’d love to hear from you, so if you have any comments or DMs, please do not hesitate to contact me. As a graphic designer, this is something I help/support people with every day, the driving force behind Reignland Creatives, and I’d love to help you with it too.
